Ronald is a development consultant and researcher with substantial experience in the development sector at national, regional and international levels. Trained as a demographer, he has a unique background in demography, statistics, operations research and social science research. His area of expertise includes social research, statistics, data management & analysis, report writing, data collection and monitoring & evaluation covering various themes of sustainable development such as gender, environment, biodiversity, maternal & child health, food security, migration, child marriages, HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, WASH, key populations (sex workers, truck drivers).
Ronald multidisciplinary experience involve conducting formative research on a project aimed at eliminating pediatric HIV, participatory research with farmers in rural Zimbabwe and project support on gender to the implementation of the Nagoya protocol in Africa. Furthermore, he has performed high quality data analysis and tailored information products. He enjoys using maps, charts and infographics to communicate complex data issues to clients and stakeholders. Geographical experience includes Africa and Turkey.
Ronald has an interest in population and development in our communities and developing innovations that apply data and technology to achieve sustainable development goals. Over the years he has, received advanced training in quantitative analysis and computational social sciences methods using R software which has cultivated his interest in big data for development. As a result, Ronald has exceptional computer skills and is proficient in data analysis and visualization software that include, SPSS, STATA, Excel, Latex, Microsoft Office, Epi-Info, Minitab and R.
Ronald is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology in Turkey. Ronald has a curious mind and loves to read about everything that makes the world tick. Outside school and work, he enjoys watching documentaries and exploring his newly discovered passion for wildlife photography.
