Mr.Frederic Perron-Welch is an international expert on biodiversity law and policy, with over ten years of experience attending and following international biodiversity negotiations (e.g. COPs 10-14, OEWG 1&2 WGRI, SBI, SBSTTA,WG-ABS, Article 8(j), ICNP).
He is author, co-author or editor of over 25 publications on the CBD and its Protocols. Mr. Perron-Welch is a member of the International Law Association Committee on Sustainable Natural Resources Management for Development, and the World Commission for Environmental Law Joint Specialist Group on Access and Benefit-Sharing.
He is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of the Faculty of Law, Leiden University, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellow,and 2021 Junior Visiting Fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID).
