Strengthening Morocco's Biodiversity Clearing-House Mechanism and Traditional Knowledge Registry for ABS

Under the APA Nagoya II project, SDI Global Consult strengthened Morocco's national Biodiversity Clearing-House Mechanism (CHM) to centralize information on genetic resources, ABS procedures, agreements and permits. The assignment also expanded the national registry of traditional knowledge associated with genetic resources through field surveys with local communities in the Souss-Massa and Drâa-Tafilalet regions, and designed a communication plan to promote the Nagoya Protocol in Morocco.
