Overview

SDI Global Consult collaborated with the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation officials (KIADPAI) to develop a strategy for the for the consideration and introduction of the Mejhoul date palm variety as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. SDI developed and documented the required steps for the nomination of an item for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, including the preparation of the nomination form for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. SDI also provided multiple strategic scenarios in determining the list of Parties that would accompany Morocco and the United Arab Emirates in submitting the application, as well as a high-level communication strategy to promote the Mejhoul date palm variety as an intangible cultural heritage in potential partner countries.
